Snail Mail Reloaded — Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 September 2026
The short version: Snail Mail Reloaded does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your progress lives on your device, and purchases are handled by Apple.
Who we are
Snail Mail Reloaded is made and published by Vikom Media (“we”), based in Vancouver, Canada. This policy covers the Snail Mail Reloaded app on iPhone and iPad, and its beta builds distributed through TestFlight.
What the game collects
Nothing that identifies you. The game has no sign-in, does not ask for your name or email, and does not send gameplay, device or usage information to us or to anyone else. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services, and the app contains no advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.
Data stored on your device
To remember where you are in the game, the app keeps the following on your device only:
- Your progress: routes completed, best times, scores, commendations earned and cosmetics you have chosen.
- Your settings: control scheme, tilt and touch sensitivity, audio volumes.
- A record of which in-app purchases you own, so the game works offline and after a reinstall.
- Screenshots you take with the in-game screenshot key, saved to the app’s own folder.
This data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it (for example by emailing us a screenshot). Deleting the app deletes it. If you have iCloud backup turned on for the app, Apple may back it up as part of your device backup under Apple’s own terms.
Motion sensors
If you choose tilt controls, the game reads your device’s accelerometer to steer. The readings are used in the moment to move the snail and are not recorded or transmitted.
In-app purchases
The game offers optional one-time purchases (for example The Full Route and Special Issue). These are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details; Apple provides us only with an anonymous confirmation that a purchase was made, which the game uses to unlock the content you bought and to restore it on a new device. Apple’s handling of your data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Purchases are governed by the parental controls and Ask to Buy settings on the device.
TestFlight beta builds
If you play a beta build through TestFlight, Apple may collect crash logs and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send through TestFlight, and shares them with us so we can fix problems. That collection is controlled by Apple and described in the TestFlight terms; we use what we receive only to improve the game.
Website beta signups
The optional beta signup form on this website is separate from the game. If you sign up, you provide your email address, preferred platforms and consent to receive beta-related emails. We send those details to the Vikom team by email to coordinate testing and invitations. We do not publish them or use them for unrelated marketing. Signing up does not guarantee beta access.
We retain signup emails while organising the beta, or until you ask us to remove your signup. To request removal, reply to a beta email or contact [email protected]. The site also uses short-lived hashed IP addresses to limit repeat submissions; these expire after an hour. Hosting and email systems may keep ordinary security and delivery logs.
Changes to this policy
If the game ever starts collecting data — for example, if we add online leaderboards — we will update this page and the App Store privacy details before the change ships.
